1. Phangrei Peak
Located at a distance of 22 km from Ukhrul town along National Highway 150, Phangrei Peak is a long, flat hill range with an abundance of wildflowers and fruits. Surrounded by a picturesque hill range, the peak is one of the popular picnic spots of the locals in the hill districts.

5. Loktak Lake
One of the closest picnic spots from Imphal, the state capital, this largest freshwater lake in Northeast India is known for its circular floating swamps locally known as phumdis. The lake is located in Bishnupur district and is home to 233 species of aquatic plants, more than 100 species of birds, 425 species of animals, including Saingai deer, the endangered Manipuri brow-antlered deer. The lake is also home to the world’s only floating national park, Keibul Lamjao National Park, which is located at the south-western part of the lake.
