The Nirbhaya rape and murder case convicts, who are scheduled to be executed on February 1, were asked about their last wishes as the date of their hanging nears. The death row convicts, however, have not replied to the Tihar Jail authorities, sources told India Today TV.

The Tihar Jail authorities had issued summons to the four Nirbhaya rape and murder convicts when they were scheduled to be executed on January 22.

Since the convicts have not replied to the summons, the jail authorities have allowed the families of the four to meet them twice a week.

The convicts have already been asked whether they wanted to bequeath their properties in someone's name but they have not replied to it.

At least two guards have been deployed outside the cells of the Nirbhaya convicts, the Tihar Jail authorities have told India Today TV. The guards work in shifts.

As of now, the Tihar Jail has conducted three trials of dummy execution. All four convicts have been eating less and are also reportedly tense. They are made to undergo medical examination daily. Their medical reports are normal.
